"Our company name is a combination of Tommy and Toni’s initials. The ‘4’ is in recognition of our four children. It is a constant reminder of why we work so hard to build a reputation worthy of the name.” -Tommy L. Davis, Jr., Founder/Owner, TD4 Electrical LLC

The foundation of TD4’s climb upward is rooted in family - a caring, supportive and visionary family that drives Davis’ pursuit of endless possibilities.
For starters, as a son, the seeds for Davis’ emerging triumphs were planted in him by his parents, Elven & Winifred Davis, who together has more than 70 years of teaching and project management in the educational system.
“My father was director of the Upward Bound Program at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE) for many years, and my mother, who attended law school, taught legal studies in Illinois for 30 plus years,” he said.
During his college days as a running back with the then Big Eight Iowa State Cyclones, Davis called on his peripheral vision, exceptional athletic prowess and quick thinking on his feet to avoid potentially stinging collisions with brutish defensive players trying to stop him.
As an entrepreneur and President/CEO of TD4, Davis has updated those skills – visionary leadership, business savvy and a sharp perception – to successfully maneuver in the electrical construction trade, positioning his firm as an up and coming major player.
And, as a family man - his wife, Toni, and four children, Tommy L. Davis III, 22, Taylor Davis, 17, Alex Cowins, 15, and Mitchell Davis, 12 - are the reasons he does what he does. His company’s name, TD4, has special significance as it serves as a motivator to strive towards business excellence.
“Our company name is a combination of Tommy and Toni’s initials,” he said. “The ‘4’ is in recognition of our four children. It is a constant reminder of why we work so hard to build a reputation worthy of the name.”
TD4 offers a wide range of electrical, supplies, construction, maintenance and low voltage services for commercial, institutional and industrial facility owners, construction managers and general contractors.
TD4 is the St. Louis area’s premier minority-owned electrical construction services provider. It has been certified as a Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) by the St. Louis Minority Development Council and the St. Louis Airport Authority. Founded in 2006, TD4’s high quality electrical contracting services are provided by a 25-person team focused on exceptional business management, proven project management systems and processes, strong capitalization and commitment to total team success.
“We have developed a strategic commitment and plans to systematically expand our electrical construction management, supplier and contractor operations,” he said. “Providing solutions for our owner, general contractor and other electrical contractor partners is our #1 objective.”
