

Maxine's Day Care and Learning Center is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Gospel Extravaganza is on Sunday, October 18, 2009 on the campus of Lewis & Clark Community College.
Featured guests are:

Maxine Jackson-Caldwell, the day care's founder and director, wants to emphasize that this is a fundraiser first and a concert second. All proceeds from this concert will benefit Maxine’s Day Care & Learning Center, 739 Silver Street, Alton, IL 62002.
"We are in the planning stages of expanding and updating our facility," Maxine said. " With your continued support we are very confident that we will achieve our goals in the very near future."
Proceeds from the fundraising concert with go to improve Maxine Day Care's facility, which includes:
---Building a gym, so that in unpleasant weather our children can continue their daily exercises and free play
---Obtaining more and up to date books, so that our children can continue to read and expand their minds
---Purchasing computers for the older children to properly complete homework, study via the internet, and keep up with current events
---Expanding our building to allow for bigger and better classrooms and office space
The concert is set for Hathaway Hall Auditorium at Lewis & Clark Community College, 5800 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, IL 62035. Doors open at 3 p.m.; the concert kicks off at 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Maxine's Day Care.
