Social media is a great place to exchange thoughts. The following is a noteworthy exchange I recently had with some fellow “Facebookers” about a post I made about our political system and President Obama:
Me…
Our political system is broken. Elected officials - on both sides - have personal, political agendas that serve there own narrow purposes. Absolute power corrupts.

I'm a huge supporter of President Obama. But "Obama the candidate" and "Obama the president" are two different people. The reality of governing has restrictions. On the outside looking in you can say what you gonna do with conviction; once in, the awesomeness of the office of president is not a one-person show.

Sounds like a little Limbauism.I knew going in that he would not be able to do everything he wanted to do. It's just the nature of the business. He has ONLY been in office just over a year. The economy IS turning around slowly but surely. Bush left this in a potential and eventual MESS. No one man can turn 8 years around in such a short time. People still have the mentality that the white man's ice is still colder than the black man's ice. They have the nerve to want to put Regan face on some money. When Reagan was in office loans were 21% and I didn't see much money. Those Reagan years were the worst of my life.
Me…
Obama is shaking up the politics as we know it. Hiis agenda is radical - which is very, very good. Because of that much needed shake up, he's only going to be on 1-term president because voters, especially the white power structure, can't handle the chance - "they can't handle the truth."
Me again...

Now here's a thought: I believe God ordained Obama to be President of the United States to address racism at the highest level of government - THE SPIRITUAL REALM; THE DEMON 'RACISM' IS SATAN'S CHIEF OF STAFF."

First and foremost, we must pray for Pres. Obama, because the job he has to do is not an easy one, and the enemy camp (GOP) have circled their wagons, and there are inside enemies as well in Democratic party. You said it best, when you said that the office of the president is not a one-person show. He has influences dictating to him (some good, some bad), but the highest authority he needs to listen to and seek is the Lord!!! Be Blessed, my brother!

Now Walter, I love Pesident Obama; I voted for him and I certainly pray to God he shows all the nay-sayers what he's made of. However, "The Spiritual............Demon 'Racism' is Satan's chief of staff." That's a little over the top and it is exactly what the 'fear filled' and 'uninformed' people of this country love to pick up and email to every person they know.
Remember Journalism 101; always remember who you're audience is. I had to read that twice and I still consider myself a journalist. I believe that all of us who believe in our President have a responsibility to help those that are confused get clarity on the issues. I may love the 'poetry of your words' and I get it. However, my dear friend, let us see ourselves as teachers. Be careful of using the word Demon in the same paragraph as Ob....that's what they want. I don't have a life, so it feels good to pretend we're back in college and I'm still the editor of the paper. I suppose I am scolding you; but it is in the best interest of our country.
LOL Please forgive me if you feel I'm out of line here but I really do take this seriously and I just feel like I have to speak up. I want nothing more than Obama to succeed and I know plenty of people that look just like me that want the same thing.
