Woman drummer Praises the Lord

I recently witnessed a young woman singing praises to the Lord while playing the drums.

In all my years, I've never seen a female kick up rhythm like Naomi Davis does at Jesus Christ Temple of Deliverance Church in St. Louis, where her father, Bishop M.R. Davis Jr., is pastor.

I mean, she had a beat, a glorious beat. With the microphone clipped on, she sang about serving the Lord and being dedicated to Him. The occasion at the church was the CD release concert for Leslie Green's " Hold On." It was also Father's Day. Green as well as Naomi had the whole church rockin' in the name of the Lord.

It is appropriate that this young lady's name is associated with high, intense service to the Lord. Naomi means ‘pleasant’ and she is one of the powerful women in the Book of Ruth of the Holy Bible. Naomi is associate with the book's namesake, Ruth, which tells a story that illustrates the triumph of courage and ingenuity over adverse circumstances.

If you want to part of a high praise, unique service to the Lord, visit Jesus Christ Temple of Deliverance Church, 4578 St. Ferdinand, St. Louis, MO 63113. The phone number is 314.652.9332.
